Seminole Sunday Sauce — July 26, 2026: FSU Football Wraps Up Summer Workouts

The start of college football season is around the corner. Florida State football officially closed its summer program this past week. Safety Ashlynd Barker symbolically brought it to a close with the breaking of the rock.

FSU will begin preseason camp on Wednesday — exactly one month before its Aug. 29 opener against New Mexico State. The Seminoles will head to Jacksonville for three days from Aug. 6 through 8.

During preseason camp, FSU will hold multiple scrimmages. As they enter their seventh season under head coach Mike Norvell, the Seminoles are coming off a disappointing 5-7 season.

Earlier this month, FSU took part in ACC Kickoff — the conference’s media days in Charlotte. Joining Norvell for that event were quarterback Ashton Daniels, wide receiver Duce Robinson and defensive back Ja’Bril Rawls.

ACC preseason predictions and the preseason All-ACC are expected to be released this week. FSU last won the conference in 2023.
