Seminole Sunday Sauce — Feb. 1, 2026: FSU Football’s 2026 Schedule Complete

After a sixth losing season in eight years, Florida State football will try to bounce back in 2026. With the release of the ACC schedule this week, FSU now knows what its slate will look like.

FSU opens the season by playing four of its first five games at home. The Seminoles open the year against New Mexico State on Aug. 29 before hosting SMU on Labor Day night, Sept. 7, to start ACC play.

FSU hits the road for the first time when it visits Alabama on Sept. 19 before home contests against Central Arkansas on Sept. 26 and Virginia on Oct. 3. The Seminoles will play their first of three Friday contests on Oct. 9 at Louisville. FSU will also visit Pittsburgh on Nov. 13 before concluding the regular season at home against rival Florida on Nov. 27.

FSU’s other big rivalry contests take place in October — at Miami on Oct. 17 and at home against Clemson on Oct. 31. The Seminoles open November at Boston College on Nov. 7. In between the aforementioned Friday tilts in November is the ACC finale against NC State at Doak Campbell Stadium on Nov. 21.

Entering its seventh season under head coach Mike Norvell, the former Paul “Bear” Bryant and Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year and 2023 ACC champion, FSU is desperate for a winning campaign. Kickoff times and television networks will be announced at a later date.
