Seminole Sunday Sauce — Aug. 10, 2025: FSU Soccer Picked Third in ACC
With the athletics year getting underway this week, Florida State soccer was not picked by the conference’s coaches to win the ACC. This week, the Seminoles were picked third.
The top three in the preseason ACC coaches poll mirrored the United Soccer Coaches Poll. The Seminoles were picked behind North Carolina and Notre Dame.
FSU did, however, receive four of the 17 first-place votes. FSU forward Jordynn Dudley and defender Heather Gilchrist were each named to the preseason All-ACC team.
The Seminoles have won the last five ACC titles and 11 of the last 14. FSU defeated Alabama in an exhibition on Friday night, 4-1. FSU will open the season at home on Thursday against rival Florida.
