Seminole Sunday Sauce — Nov. 23, 2025: FSU Soccer Headed to Sweet 16
After a 1-year hiatus, Florida State soccer is headed back to the Sweet 16. The third-seeded Seminoles punched their ticket on Thursday with a 1-0 victory over Lipscomb.
FSU dominated the contest, but a goal by Heather Gilchrist in the 24th minutes accounted for all the scoring. Taylor Suarez was credited with the assist.
For the match, the Seminoles finished with 20 shots to just four for the Bisons. FSU also managed six shots on goal. FSU’s Kate Ockene saved the lone Lipscomb shot on frame.
