Seminole Sunday Sauce — June 14, 2026: FSU’s Walker Wins National Championship in 100 Meters

After winning the national championship in the 60 meters during the indoor season, Florida State track and field’s Shenese Walker took the outdoor crown in the 100 meters at the NCAA Championships on Saturday. Walker’s performance highlighted a top-20 finish for the FSU women.

Walker finished with a time of 10.88 seconds to win her second individual national championship of the athletic year. She had already earned first-team All-American honors earlier in the day when she, Lucy May Sleeman, Liana Tyson and Micayah Holland finished sixth in the women’s 4×100-meter relay.

The FSU men kicked things off on Wednesday with three athletes earning second-team All-America honors. Neo Mosebi had the best finish of the night, placing 11th in the 100 meters — five spots ahead of teammate Durian Moss. In the long jump, Curtis Williams placed 15th.

The FSU women got started on Thursday as Rylee Blade became the first Seminole to earn first-team All-American recognition. She finished seventh in the 10,000 meters.

The FSU men closed things on Friday with three All-American recognitions. Shamar Reid had the best finish for the FSU men, claiming sixth in the discus. In the 110-meter hurdles, Andre Korbmacher earned first-team honors with a seventh-place finish while Zach Extine wasn’t far behind in ninth — good for second-team recognition.

On the women’s side, Kayla Pinkard was the final FSU athlete to earn All-American recognition, earning second-team honors after placing 10th in the triple jump on Saturday. The FSU women finished 19th overall. The FSU men finished 42nd.

Arkansas claimed the national championship on the men’s side. Georgia won the women’s team outdoor national championship. The 4-day event in Eugene, Ore. caps the athletic year for FSU.
