Seminole Sunday Sauce — June 15, 2025: 2024-25 Athletics Year Comes to an End

Another year has come and gone. Florida State’s 2024-25 athletics year came to an end this past week.

Florida State baseball saw its season end in the decisive game of the Corvallis Super Regional on Sunday night as the ninth-seeded Seminoles fell to No. 8 national seed Oregon State, 14-10.

A dismal start was too much for FSU to overcome as the Seminoles fell behind 13-3 through three innings. FSU admirably chipped away, but were two baserunners shy of bringing the tying run to the plate in the ninth. Max Williams, Chase Williams and Myles Bailey each homered in the loss.

Oregon State finished the night with five home runs. The Seminoles had 17 hits with Bailey, Chase Williams, Gage Harrelson and Hunter Carns each recording three. FSU finished the year with a record of 42-16.

The athletics year ended on Saturday as Florida State’s track and field teams wrapped up the NCAA Outdoor Championships. The FSU men finished 46th. The FSU women finished 26th.

Kyvon Tatham had the best finish for the men, placing third in the triple jump. Tyra Williams placed fifth in the 400-meter hurdles to lead the FSU women.
