Seminole Sunday Sauce — Sept. 20, 2026: FSU Cross Country Opens Season with Home Sweep
For Florida State, the cross country season couldn’t have gotten off to a better start. The Seminoles began the year on Friday by sweeping the Pre-Regionals in Tallahassee.
The FSU men had five of the top 10 finishers, led by champion Hudson Betts and runner-up Kaden Levings. Gino Palazzalo, Finn Thomas and Aidan Ryan finished fifth, eighth and 10th, respectively.
On the women’s side, Seminoles took the top three spots and seven of the top nine. Individual champion Rylee Blade was followed by Bieke Schipperen and Nicole Dinan. Madie King rounded out the top five. Lindy White and Tessa Ebert placed sixth and ninth, respectively.
The victories mark the fifth time in six years that FSU has begun the season with a sweep. Up next is a trip to Missouri for the Gans Creek Classic on Friday.
