Seminole Sunday Sauce — Oct. 4, 2026: FSU Football Dominates Virginia for First ACC Win

As a home underdog, Florida State football had no problem picking up its first ACC win on Saturday, The Seminoles scored 38 unanswered points to down Virginia at Doak Campbell Stadium, 38-7.

Quarterback Ashton Daniels broke the FSU single-game record with five rushing touchdowns, highlighted by an 81-yard scamper late in the third quarter. Daniels rushed for 136 yards and passed for 183. Ousmane Kromah added 80 yards on the ground while Micahi Danzy led the Seminoles with four catches for 70 yards receiving.

FSU finished with 464 yards of offense but also enjoyed its best defensive effort of the season. The Seminoles held Virginia to 205 yards while registering 10 sacks and 12 tackles for loss. Defensive end Rylan Kennedy had two sacks and three tackles for loss. Linebacker Chris Jones added six tackles and 1.5 sacks.

The Seminoles have now won consecutive games for the first time since last season’s 3-0 start. FSU improved to 3-2 overall this season and 1-1 in ACC play. The Seminoles will hit the road for the first time in conference play on Friday as they travel to take on Louisville.
