Seminole Sunday Sauce — Oct. 11, 2026: FSU Football Embarrassed at Louisville
A strong start turned into a night to forget for Florida State football at Louisville on Friday night. After scoring touchdowns on their first two offensive drives, the Seminoles watched Louisville run away with a 44-20 victory.
FSU quarterback Ashton Daniels rushed for a touchdown to get the scoring started before hitting Micahi Danzy for a 25-yard touchdown to make it 14-0. Threatening to make it 21-0, FSU was stopped on 4th-and-goal inside the 5-yard-line and from there, momentum swung dramatically.
On the very next play, Louisville’s Isaac Brown went 97 yards for a touchdown — the longest offensive play allowed in FSU history. That began a string of 35 straight points for the Cardinals.
Louisville finished the night with 397 yards rushing — the second-most ever allowed by the Seminoles. Brown carried the load with 235 rushing yards and two touchdowns. He also had a 71-yard kickoff return to open the second half and set up the touchdown drive that put the Cardinals ahead to stay.
Daniels passed for 209 yards and accounted for three total touchdowns for FSU, including two tosses to Danzy. Ousmane Kromah led the Seminoles with 131 yards from scrimmage.
With the loss, FSU falls to 3-3 and 1-2 in ACC play. The Seminoles have now lost 11 straight road games, furthering the questions about head coach Mike Norvell’s future. FSU remains on the road to face No. 5 Miami on Saturday.
